Following an AUAS Board Meeting on 13th January 2015, it has been confirmed that Dan Orr has been elected President of the Academy.

Dan, a diver of nearly 50 years standing, and a dive professional for over 40 years, brings a wealth of experience to the role.

He has held a number of leadership positions at Divers Alert Network (DAN); Diving Equipment & Marketing Association (DEMA) and the Historical Diving Society (as President and Chairman of the Board). In addition Dan served as Director and Chairman of The Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences from 1996 to 2001. He received the NOGI Sports and Education award in 1996.
