The fee is to be paid through lovebali.baliprov.go.id or directly at the international airport and seaport in Bali.

Effective from February 14, 2024, the tax mandates a one-time fee of IDR 150,000 (about USD 10) for each foreign visitor. This initiative, aimed at supporting local projects in Bali, includes waste management, infrastructure development, and cultural heritage preservation.

Payments can be made via the LOVE BALI website or app, with various payment options available. Upon payment, tourists receive a tax voucher with a QR code for verification. The tax applies to all international visitors, including children, with each entry to Bali. Exemptions include Indonesian citizens, permanent residents, diplomatic or courtesy visa holders, and ASEAN nationals.

The tax only applies to travel to the province of Bali.  People who travel to other Indonesian provinces will not have to pay the tax. 

If you leave Bali and enter another province, for example Lombok, then you'll have to pay the tax again upon re-entry. However since the following three three islands are part of Bali Province, you won't have to pay the tax again if you travel to and from:

• Nusa Penida
• Nusa Lembongan
• Nusa Ceningan
